Guitar

Claudio is an Italian-born guitarist, performer and teacher based in New York City. He began his guitar studies at a very young age and received his Classical Guitar Diploma graduating with honors from the Conservatory U. Giordano of Foggia (Italy). He was then accepted to International Guitar Academy of Koblenz (Germany) where he received his Postgraduate Diploma in Performance as a soloist. Claudio has studied with renowned teachers and world-class performers such as Rosario Caida Greco, Sandro Torlontano and Aniello Desiderio. He earned his Master in Music Interpretation at Conservatory D. Cimarosa of Avellino (Italy) and attended master classes by Leo Brouwer, Pavel Steidl and Dale Kavanagh.

 

Claudio has participated and won a number of prestigious guitar competitions. As a performer, he has performed as both a soloist and with ensembles in festivals and prestigious venues all over Europe and the US, including the Torpedo Theater of Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Teatro Marcello of Rome (Italy), Konzertsaal der Musikschule der Stadt of Koblenz (Germany) and Repertory Theatre of New York. A versatile guitarist, Claudio also plays and teaches contemporary, jazz and pop musical styles. Claudio frequently collaborates with instrumentalists, singers, and actors, taking part in theater shows as a music director, and creating and playing music for live acting.

 

Claudio has over 10 years of teaching experience working with students of all levels, ages and backgrounds. A passionate instructor, Claudio’s teaching method is based on developing technique, musicality, and combining theory skills with each student’s unique creativity. By using an individual approach and a tailored learning process, Claudio is committed to promoting musical growth of each student in an enjoyable and fun environment.
